About Jake
A YouTube channel at 10. Running some of the biggest ones by 21.
Jake Trinder is the founder of Views To Clients (V2C). This is how he got here, told the way he tells it on his own channel.
01
Beginnings
A kid in his bedroom who wanted a channel like the Sidemen
Jake started his first YouTube channel at ten. He grew up watching UK YouTubers and FIFA videos and, in his words, “there was nothing that I would have wanted more than to have my own YouTube channel that was equally as successful.” The videos were terrible, he says so himself, but he fell in love with the process: making something, posting it, and watching fifty people choose to spend their time on it.
That turned into an obsession with a single question: how do you reverse-engineer a video that performs, from the idea through to the structure, the edit and the thumbnail? At eleven or twelve, during the fidget-spinner craze, he found a fidget toy no retailer was selling, ordered it from a Chinese supplier, and made two videos on it. On a channel averaging about 300 views, they did roughly 25,000 and 20,000. Brands started sending him free gear. It was the first time he had found a gap in the market on purpose.
Through secondary school the channel went on the back burner for years while he prioritised his studies, but the obsession with what makes a video work never went away.
“I just love the process of YouTube too much. This was my passion at the time, and this was the way for me to explore my problem-solving brain.” Jake, How YouTube Changed My Life

The gap year
Perfect Grades not Enough for Universities

At 17 he finished sixth form with perfect A* grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Computer Science, and was rejected by every university he applied to bar one – despite having actually already achieved the results. Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, Warwick – their loss! He did not particularly want to go anyway. He wanted to find out whether the entrepreneurial side of him was real.
His parents wanted university. After a long night of back and forth they agreed a bet: a gap year, and if he was making $10,000 a month by the end of it he did not have to go. He had no idea what business to start. He learned basic web design in two days, knocked on many business doors in his local area and, after days of rejections, sold one website, for £60.
About two weeks after the bet, a business owner’s post appeared in his feed: hiring a YouTube video editor to grow the company’s channel. Jake recorded a custom pitch within the hour. He would not just edit. He would run the whole channel: ideas, thumbnails, scripts, posting, everything. The owner said yes. Eight months later that channel had added over a million dollars a year to the business, from zero.

From one client
From one client to Views To Clients
He wrote the whole thing up as a fifty-page case study, and that document brought the next clients. Another business went from zero to more than a million dollars a year from YouTube in eight months. An agency in the Facebook-ads niche became the top channel in its space (the Sam Piliero case). A company in the sales niche went from zero to $1 million collected in six months from twelve videos, and from zero to 10,000 subscribers in sixty days. Each result brought bigger clients, and bigger clients brought bigger results.
At the end of the gap year his parents asked whether he had hit $10,000 a month. He had not. He had done $50,000 that month.
The first client paid $1,700 a month. Today V2C runs channels for some of the largest business and education creators on the platform, with a team of 50+ powering the business, working from Newcastle. The only part of the process the team does not do is press record, because the client is the expert.

The numbers
The numbers, as Jake reports them
Jake publishes his company’s figures on his own channel and dates them. They are collected here as he stated them, not independently audited, and they are company revenue rather than his personal income.

- Jan 2026Around $120,000 a month after what he calls a slow build, most of it without sales or marketing.
- Mar 2026$335,000 collected, of which $225,000 was monthly recurring revenue, after setting a written 30-day target and reverse-engineering it into weekly numbers.
- Jun 2026$473,783 collected across the agency and the new strategist programme; roughly 27 new agency clients added in the month; 60+ active client channels.

Lessons
What he has learned
“The level of success that you’re able to achieve is directly correlated to the level of stress that you are able to tolerate.” The business stalled at $100,000 a month five or six times before it broke through; the next ceiling was $300,000.
Find the real motivation, set the number, then reverse-engineer it into weekly and daily KPIs “to where it was math and I achieved it.” That is how February’s $120,000 became March’s $335,000.
The same discipline he teaches for YouTube: change everything at once and a better result teaches you nothing. Isolate the variable, measure, move to the next constraint.

Now
Why he publishes now
For years Jake stayed quiet online. He believed that giving away how V2C works would hand market share to competitors, so he did not grow his own channel and did not teach. In 2026 that changed. Client demand is no longer the constraint on the company; world-class talent is, and the way to attract it is to be visible. He also stopped believing the method was the moat. “The moat of the business is me being the leader of this company and the vision and the mission,” which nobody can copy.
So he now does three connected things: he runs V2C, he publishes what he knows on YouTube, and he trains strategists through Become a Strategist, with the best of them joining the company. This site is where those routes meet.
“I didn’t start my own YouTube channel and grow it to millions of subscribers. I took a different path where I’m the person behind the channels.” Jake, How YouTube Changed My Life
